Biography

Rebekah Wingert-Jabi is a Peabody award-winning filmmaker and President of Storycatcher Productions. Recently, Rebekah produced and edited "Naila and the Uprising" (2017), which had its US premiere at DOCNYC, European premiere at IDFA and Middle East premiere at the Dubai Film Festival. The film was broadcast in 2019 as part of the PBS series Women, War and Peace II Executive Produced by Abigail Disney. 

Rebekah also co-directed, produced and edited "My Neighbourhood," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2012 and won a Peabody Award. This film had its worldwide television debut on Al Jazeera English. She then directed, produced and edited "Another Way of Living," which premiered at the Virginia Film Festival (2015) and screened at the National Building Museum as part of the Environmental Film Festival in the Nations Capital.

Rebekah achieved a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and was awarded the Thomas Bush Cinematography Scholarship. She teaches at American University and George Mason University.
