Film at Mason launches Crowdfunding Campaign for the month of November!
Consider a gift of $10, $25, $50 or whatever amount is right for you
Film at Mason trains career-ready graduates who are familiar with industry-standard equipment and ready for success on professional film sets. In just 10 years, Film at Mason has become a top-ranked film school with distinguished faculty and talented alumni at work in the industry. Today we launch our “Essential Equipment” crowdfunding campaign. With your support, we will purchase a doorway dolly and track once we meet our campaign goal.
The money we raise up to $2,500 will be matched dollar for dollar through a generous matching gift from one of our Film at Mason Advisory Board Members. Now is the time to make your gift count!
Cinematographers and directors use dollies to create movement. Our Cinematography students are taught by award-winning Director of Photography Professor Hans Charles (Ava Duvernay’s 13th, Mr. Soul!) These students learn by putting gear to use in class and on-set in our Mason Film Lab, where guest directors work with students and professional faculty to make a film. Mason cinematographers use these lessons to shoot over 140 student films at Mason each year.
Help elevate the quality of student films by giving Mason Cinematographers the tools they need. On November 1st * we kick off our crowd-funding campaign for the dolly and track. A gift of $10, $25 or $50 will help our students create compelling films of quality. Their films are presented at the end of term in our two film festivals. These are free and open to the public. We invite you to see the impact of your contribution on screen! Learn more below and make your donation today bit.ly/FilmatMasonDolly.
*campaign runs November 1st – November 30th All gifts are 100% tax deductible.
